Where master's students learn how to effectively job search

SEPT 26 - 30 • ONLINE

Presented by the Global Higher Education Division of ETS

2022 Career Summit for Master's Students

Job searching while completing your master’s can feel like a huge, daunting task.

Maybe you’re staring at your screen right now and feeling overwhelmed. You have 14 tabs open including readings, data, reports, and class schedules. You’re eating dinner in front of the computer again, trying to get everything done for tomorrow’s classes.

Job searching may seem seem like a far away goal, but it’s also the most pressing. It’s what you’re most worried about and why you’re doing this master’s degree to begin with.

During this online career summit you will learn:

1. How to create a job search plan while managing graduate school;

2. How to find the right role and organization for you;

3. How to pitch yourself to employers;

4. And how to job search during a recession.

This Career Summit will help you build a foundation for your job search, so that you can start planning for your job search early and land a job when you’ve finished your master’s. Beginning your career planning early means that you set the foundation for success in your job search, without the overwhelm and stress that will inevitably come if you wait until graduation.

"This was WONDERFUL. Loads of useful information that go beyond the 'traditional' tips and tricks. Thank you, and looking forward to receiving the recording to have and reflect on. "
"I’ve had so much anxiety about this process and this 45 minute webinar has imparted so much wisdom. I feel like I have the wise parent who has my back. I feel more grounded for the first time in months. The way you translated things into the most digestible words was magic. Focus on where have you applies the top skills with success."
"Thank you for offering this advice. As a recent graduate, I have been struggling with questions about the lack of guidance to roles outside of academia... I have participated in two webinars with your organization and I can feel a shift in my confidence level."
